Low Level Laser Treatments (LLLT) are beginning to gain popularity as an effective hair loss/ restoration treatment for men and women.
The treatment consist of individually tailored plans which are administered by a qualified professional, trained in the cosmetic use of these low level lasers for hair restoration. The most important thing here, is the word "qualified", be sure to check the qualifications of the individual administrating the treatments, to insure that they know what they are doing.
The FDA has approved the device for hair grow treatments, however, keep in mind that the FDA also approved Rogaine and Minoxidill as treatments for hair loss. The record of negative side effects, and the ineffecitiveness of Rogaine and Minoxidil are well known.
However, there is solid evidence to support the use of Low Level Laser Treatments.
First you should be evaluated by a professional to rule out a possible medical cause for your hair loss. Once it is determined that the LLLT will likely be a suitable treatment for you, the treatment can begin. You will be encouraged to use supplemention and special shampoo and conditioners to maximize your treatments success. You may also be asked to make dietary and lifestyle changes. Your Clinician will document your progress with the use of digital photos, this is an effective way to measure your improvement, or lack thereof.
Most individuals using this protocol see results in a few months, and the use of microscopic scalp evaluation will be used to assess your progress.
Treatments are typically scheduled for twelve months, with an evalution at the end of the treatments to determine if additional treatments are needed. However, it is typically recommended that one treatment be done per month to maintain your results.
During the active treatment phase you will be scheduled for two laser treatments per week. This will require a time commitment, think about this ahead of time. Your treatments will consist of you sitting under the laser for up to 20 minutes per session. Most people do not experience any negative side effects. However, you should discuss this issue with your Clinician before the treatments start.
Your Clinician may recommend scalp massage and other topical treatments to enhance the effectiveness of the LLLT.
The use of Low Level Lasers for the treatment of hair loss is very interesting indeed. You can Google "Low Level Laser Treatments", to get additional information, and to see if there are treatment centers in your local area.
Happy Hair Growing!

Yikes, there is a common baby shampoo currently on the market in the United States which has known cancer causing agents!
The company, Johnson and Johnson, makers of the famous baby line of personal products has apparently refused to remove the ingredients to date. However, many other countries have banned these ingredients and citizens in these country can now purchase Johnson and Johnson products without these harmful substances, yet US citizens, as well as some other countries are still being exposed to these toxic chemcials.
Check out this well written article on Dr Mercola's website which will explain everything in detail. This is important information, please pass it on. And in the mean time don't use these products on yourself or your family. Click here

There has been and will continue to be a hot debate over the so-called natural relaxers, which pop up and grow in popularity. In the past the hair care industry has been less than truthful regarding the use of the word "natural", read this article for more information from a beauty consultant inside the hair care industry click here.
However, I would prefer to say that there are products which relax the texture of hair which are less harsh. I think harshness should be the catch phase, because ANYTHING which alters the texture of your hair will cause some damage to your natural hair. What you want to do is minimize that damage. So let's forget about what is or isn't natural when it comes to hair relaxers because quite frankly it doesn't matter.
The best time to use a relaxer is when your hair is at it's 1000% best! If you ARE currently experiencing any hair issues- DON'T RELAX YOUR HAIR. PERIOD! It's actually a bit ironic that you need to get your hair super healthy before you damage it again with a relaxer, but this will produce the best overall outcome. And yes, it's completely possible to have healthy relaxed hair.
The key is getting your hair healthy before the treatment and keeping it healthy with proper maintenance. I don't personally use traditional relaxers, instead I have always opted to keep my hair healthy by working on it all the time and protecting it from harsh treatments. However, I did recently agree to have a Keratin treament put into my hair, and I must say I LOVE it. Read this article about Keratin Treatments click here.
Another important point about any hair altering process -HAVE IT DONE BY KNOWLEDGABLE Professionals! PERIOD. If you care about healthy hair you should never disobey this rule. Enough said.
Check out this Natural Relaxer which is showing great promise. It fits my bill for being "less harsh", so it's interesting enough to take a look at, if you are interested in a natural relaxer, which is less harsh. I have talked to a few people who use this product and both individuals agree that it's less harsh and they both love their results. Click out his video: click here

Well here again the field of hair growth and hair loss is always interesting. While researching something else totally different than hair loss the other day, I came upon a website which offers genetic testing for hair loss.
Apparently there is a test which can predict if you will go bald. It works for men and women. I guess if you know it's going to happen you can better prepare for it and maybe take measures to insure that it doesn't happen to you.
I do believe that you CAN fool Mother Nature. I have seem it time and time again. And if I discovered that I may be a candidate for future hair loss I would be taking action right now to keep my glorious mane.
Prevention is worth a pound of cure.
So here's the scoop, visit this website and read all about it:

Good Luck!

A Promising Cure for Baldness??
By Janice McAlister - The Hair GROW Guru -www.grandmasecretsonline.com
As with many great discoveries, a possible cure for baldness was made accidentally.
Scientist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla CA, studying the effects of stress on genetically altered mice, discovered that when the bald mice were injected with a newly developed anti-stress hormone, the mice grew new hair.
The mice had been programmed though genetic alteration to overproduce a stress related hormone. The effects of which, caused the mice to lose all of their hair. Stress causes hair loss in humans too.
Five days of daily injections of this hormone resulted in all of the mice re-growing their hair. The researchers were amazed.
This discovery was completely unexpected. The compound known as astressin-B is believed to reverse the effects of stress causing hair loss in mice.
It is unknown at this time if this hormone will work in humans with the same effect. Researchers are hopeful that this compound will reverse hair loss in humans, because the hormone appears to restarted the hair growth cycle within the hair follicle.
Right now it’s too soon to know if this is an actual cure for human baldness, and it’s too soon to know if it will work for all types of baldness.
However, rest assured we will know in due time. As continued work is under way and it is presumed that human testing will be coming soon.
Would you be interested in participating in clinical trials of this experimental hormone?
I’ll keep you guys posted about any new developments.

A Pill To Straighten Your Hair
By Janice McAlister - The Hair GROW Guru - www.Grandmasecretsonline.com
Don't throw out your blow dryers & flat irons, and don't cancel your salon visit for your Relaxer, or Japanese Hair Straightening Technique, just yet. But according to a group of Australian Scientist , these items and techniques may become a thing of the past, in the very near future. The Hair care giant Lo'Real is currently working with these findings to develop a pill which will "switch off", your curly hair gene and replace it with a straight hair gene, and vice versa.
I know, I know, it sounds like pure science fiction, but apparently it is true. One thing that keeps coming to my mind is, what will happen to the $60 Billion hair care industry? An industry which has dangled a bunch of unfilled promises to us for the last 50 years or so; yet has consistently seen escalating profits in all areas, simply because in the name of "beauty", we continue to clamour to them, with outstretched hands, filled with cash. Forever looking for the next "Great Haircare Hope".
My next thought is , will it work? What will be the potential sides affects of a gene altering pill? Are the affects temporary or permanent? How much will this pill cost? These are all important questions, which I will personally need answered, before I even THINK about it. How about you? Would you take this pill?
