Do Natural Relaxers Exist?

There has been and will continue to be a hot debate over the so-called natural relaxers, which pop up and grow in popularity.  In the past the hair care industry has been less than truthful regarding the use of the word "natural", read this article for more information from a beauty consultant inside the hair care industry click here.

However, I would prefer to say that there are products which relax the texture of hair which are less harsh.  I think harshness should be the catch phase, because ANYTHING which alters the texture of your hair will cause some damage to your natural hair.  What  you want to do is minimize that damage.  So let's forget about what is or isn't natural when it comes to hair relaxers because quite frankly it doesn't matter.

The best time to use a relaxer is when your hair is at it's 1000% best!  If you ARE currently experiencing any hair issues- DON'T RELAX YOUR HAIR. PERIOD!  It's actually a bit ironic that you need to get your hair super healthy before you damage it again with a relaxer, but this will produce the best overall outcome.  And yes, it's completely possible to have healthy relaxed hair.

The key is getting your hair healthy before the treatment and keeping it healthy with proper maintenance.  I don't personally use traditional relaxers, instead I have always opted to keep my hair healthy by working on it all the time and protecting it from harsh treatments.  However, I did recently agree to have a Keratin treament put into my hair, and I must say I LOVE it. Another important point about any hair altering process -HAVE IT DONE BY KNOWLEDGABLE Professionals!  PERIOD.  If you care about healthy hair you should never disobey this rule.  Enough said.

Check out this Natural Relaxer which is showing great promise.  It fits my bill for being "less harsh", so it's interesting enough to take a look at, if you are interested in a natural relaxer, which is less harsh.  I have talked to a few people who use this product and both individuals agree that it's less harsh and they both love their results.  Click out his video: click here
