You Don't Have to "Just Live With" Hair Loss
Let's face it, for most people, hair loss is not attractive. If baldness were appealing to most people, everyone would be trying to figure out how to permanently get rid of their hair.
Have you ever wondered why you always see the sexy, guy or girl in an ad or on TV with a full head of shiny and healthy hair. It's never the bald guy or the thin haired woman who is portrayed as sexy, or smart. There is a reason for this.
Although hair loss problems are on the increase, especially among women. The problem of hair loss has been around for a long time.
Apparently These Is No "One Size Fits ALL", solution for Hair Loss. Is there a cure? Yes There is - for many.
Throughout history people have come up with every combination known to man to get rid of hair loss and baldness.
It is reported that over 3000 years ago, Cleopatra was so concerned about the hair loss of her husband, Julius Cesar, that she concocted a formula of bear grease oil, deer bone marrow, horse teeth, and burnt mice which she apparently applied to the bald scalp of her husband. Unfortunately, results of her success or failure remain unknown.
The condition of baldness, is also known as Alopecia. There are many different types of alopecia and there seems to be much that we still don't know about the true cause of the condition and we don't have one an effective cure which seems to help everyone affected. Thankfully, we do have methods, procedures and formulations which do help many people with this dreaded condition.
Alopecia can strike anyone for any variety of reasons. Even newborn babies can be born with this condition.
There are five common types of alopecia.
Alopecia areata, is typically associated with sudden hair loss, sometimes related to trauma, or illness, or this can happen from the use of overly stressful hairstyles, such as tight braids and pony tails, wigs/hairpieces or chemicals used on the hair, such as relaxers, dyes etc.
The sufferers of alopecia areata, will have scattered bald spots all over their head, or one large bald spot confined to one section of the scalp.
The other common type of alopecia, is alopecia totalis, which will typically be characterized by the complete loss of hair on the head. The shedding of normal hair will usually occur over a certain amount of time. The sufferers of alopecia totalis will sometimes have a small amount of soft downy hair left over, after the normal hair has completely fallen out.
And then there is alopecia universalis, which is the total shedding of all hair on the body, from the top of the head to the legs and feet.
Alopecia universalis is the rarest form of the five most common conditions of alopecia. It is thought that alopecial universalis is an autoimmune condition.
Lupus, an autoimmune disease, will typically cause alopecia, for many people Lupus is a serious and sometimes fatal disease.
Male Pattern BaldnessMale pattern baldness (alopecia), or androgenetic alopecia, is the patterned balding of men. Although the condition may affect both the appearance and self-esteem of some men, one should note that the condition is not a medical disorder. The hair loss is non-scarring and it is believed that there is a genetic basis for the condition. Sex steroids (androgens) – specifically, dihydrotestosterone – commonly referred to as DHT, play a role in this form of balding.
Do Something NOW. The Longer You Wait , the harder it is to regrow your hair.
Female Pattern Baldness
Female Pattern baldness (alopecia) is typically noticed in women as they age, usually presenting itself during menopause when a woman's hormones are in a horrific state of instability.
Female pattern alopecia, is typically characterized by the progressive shrinking of the hair follicles until they stop functioning. If the follicle continues to produce hair, the hair will usually be thin, fine and wisp.
Again, there is not a lot of reliable science or research on the subject of female pattern baldness. So you will either have to decide if you will become a "victim" to your condition, or a fighter. If you choose to fight, the best avenue to a solution to your hair loss problem is for you to try every thing you can reasonably think of, until you find something that will work!
